Phoenix Weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Phoenix race weekend. The Trucks were off this time.
Saturday was the Xfinity race. Kyle Busch won with 175 laps led, followed by pole-sitter rookie Erik Jones with 5 laps led, Daniel Suarez, Justin Allgaier and Chase Elliott. Rounding out the top-10 were Ty Dillon with 11 laps led, Austin Dillon, Elliott Sadler, Brad Keselowski with 9 laps led and rookie Brennan Poole. No one crashed out.
Sunday was the Cup race. Kevin Harvick won with 139 laps led, followed by Carl Edwards with 65 laps led, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch with 75 laps led and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. with 34 laps led. Rounding out the top-10 were Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, rookie Chase Elliott, Austin Dillon and rookie Ryan Blaney. Ricky Stenhouse, Jr was 37th due to an accident on lap 161.  Paul Menard was 38th due to crashing out on lap 104. Ryan Newman was 39th after wrecking out on lap 51.

Las Vegas Weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Las Vegas race weekend. Trucks were off this time.
Saturday was the Xfinity race. Polesitter Kyle Busch won with 199 laps led, followed by Daniel Suarez, rookie Erik Jones, Chase Elliott and Austin Dillon. Rounding out the top-10 were rookie Brandon Jones, Ty Dillon, Elliott Sadler, Justin Allgaier and Brendan Gaughan. Darrell Wallace, Jr. led 1 lap before an accident on lap 135 relegated him to 33rd. Justin Marks crashed out lap 135 and was 34th.  Rookie Cody Ware was 35th after wrecking out lap 127.
Sunday was the Kobalt 400. Brad Keselowski won with 24 lap led, followed by Joey Logano with 70 laps led, Jimmie Johnson with 76 laps led, Kyle Busch with 38 laps led and Austin Dillon with 2 laps led. Rounding out the top-10 were Ryan Blaney, Kevin Harvick with 1 lap led,  Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kurt Busch with 31 laps led and Kasey Kahne.  Denny Hamlin was 19th after leading 10 laps. Regan Smith was 25th with 1 lap led. Matt Kenseth led 9 laps before an accident on lap 224 relegated him to 37th. Rookie Chase Elliott was 38th due to an accident on lap 224.

Atlanta Weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Atlanta weekend.


Saturday was the Truck race. John Hunter Nemechek won with 8 laps led, followed by Cameron Hayley with 4 laps led, Timothy Peters, Daniel Hemric and rookie Gran Enfinger. Rounding out the top-10 were rookie Ben Rhodes, John Wes Townley, Parker Kligerman, Caleb Holman and Spencer Gallagher. Rookie Christopher Bell was 26th due to an accident on lap 122 after leading 42 laps. Pole-sitter Matt Crafton led 76 laps and was relegated to 30th due to an accident on lap 111. Daniel Suarez was 31st due to an accident on lap 111.
Saturday was also the day of the Xfinity race. Pole-sitter Kyle Busch won with 119 laps led, followed by Kyle Larson, rookie Erik Jones, Paul Menard and Ty Dillon. Rounding out the top-10 were Brad Keselowski with 28 laps led, Daniel Suarez, Justin Allgaier with 15 laps led, Elliott Sadler and Jeb Burton with 1 lap led. No one wrecked out
Sunday was the Cup race.  Jimmie Johnson won with 52 laps led, followed by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kyle Busch with 2 laps led,  polesitter Kurt Busch with 62 laps led and Carl Edwards with 1 lap led. Rounding out the top-10 were Kevin Harvick with 131 laps led, Martin Truex, Jr. with 34 laps led, rookie Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. Matt Kenseth led 47 laps and finished 19th. Cole Whitt was 37th after leading 1 lap. No one did not finish.
