Watkins Glen Weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Watkins Glen weekend. The Trucks were off this time.










Saturday was the Xfinity race. Joey Logano, the pole-sitter, won with 39 laps led, followed by Brad Keselowski with 40 laps led, Chris Buescher with 2 laps led, Boris Said and Ty Dillon. Rounding out the top-10 were Brian Scott, Chase Elliott with 1 lap led, Elliott Sadler, Paul Menard and Brendan Gaughan. Kenny Habul and Ryan Reed wrecked out on lap 74 and were 29th and 30th, respectively.








Sunday was the Cup race. Joey Logano won with 1 lap led, followed by Kyle Busch with 3 laps led, Kevin Harvick with 29 laps, Matt Kenseth with 2 laps led and Kurt Busch. Rounding out the top-10 were Clint Bowyer,  Brad Keselowski with 27 laps led, Carl Edwards, Sam Hornish, Jr. and Jimmie Johnson. Cole Whitt led 2 laps and finished 21st.  Pole-sitter AJ Allmendinger was 24th with 21 laps led. Martin Truex, Jr. led 5 laps and was 25th. No one wrecked out.

Pocono and Iowa Weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Pocono and Iowa weekend. The Xfinity series was in Iowa and the others were at Pocono.








Saturday was the Truck race at Pocono. Kyle Busch won with 53 laps led, followed by Kevin Harvick,  Tyler Reddick, rookie Cameron Haley and Austin Dillon.  Rounding out the top-10 were Johnny Sauter with 4 laps led, Timothy Peters, Matt Tift, rookie Daniel Hemric and pole-sitter rookie Erik Jones with 9 laps led. Rookie Spencer Gallagher led 3 laps and finished 14th. Rookie Ray Black, Jr. was 24th after a wreck on lap 52. Rookie Wendall Chavous crashed after 51 laps and was 25th. Rookie Korbin Forrister wrecked out on lap 24 and was 27th. Matt Crafton was 28th after an accident on lap 13. Brad Keselowski was 30th due to wrecking on lap 5.




Saturday night was the Xfinity race at Iowa. Ryan Blaney won with 252 laps led, followed by Regan Smith with 4 laps led, Brian Scott, Ty Dillon and Brendan Gaughan. Rounding out the top-10 were the polesitter, rookie Daniel Suarez, Erik Jones, Elliott Sadler, Chase Elliott with 3 laps led and rookie Ross Chastain. Ryan Sieg led 1 lap and finished 12th. Ben Rhodes was 30th due to an accident on lap 239. Michael Self was 32nd after wrecking out on lap 179.




Sunday was the Pocono Cup race. Matt Kenseth won with 2 laps led, followed by Brad Keselowski with 3 laps led, Jeff Gordon with 2 laps led,  Dale Earnhardt and Greg Biffle with 2 laps led.  Rounding out the top-10 were Jimmie Johnson, AJ Allmendinger, Clint Bowyer, Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards. Kyle Larson led 5 laps and finished 12th.  Danica Patrick was 16th with 5 laps led. David Ragan led 1 lap and was 17th. Martin Truex, Jr. was 19th after leading 6 laps. Joey Logano led 97 laps and was 20th. Kyle Busch was 21st after leading 19 laps. Denny Hamlin led 2 laps and was 22nd. Kurt Busch was 37th after leading 13 laps.  Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. was 41st after an accident on lap 27. Kasey Kahne wrecked out on lap 3 and was 43rd.

Eldora and Indianapolis weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Indianapolis weekend. The Trucks were  at a different track this time.


Wednesday was the Truck race at Eldora, named the MudSummer Classic. Christopher Bell won with 106 laps, followed by pole-sitter Bobby Pierce with 39 laps led, Tyler Reddick and rookie Erik Jones and Daniel Hemrick. Rounding out the top-10 were Austin Dillon with 8 laps led,  rookie John Hunter Nemechek with 1 lap led, rookie Cameron Haley, Matt Crafton and Ty Dillon. Travis Kvapil wrecked out on lap 119 and Chad Boat crashed out on lap 110.






Saturday was the Xfinity race at Indianapolis. Pole-sitter Kyle Busch won with 53 laps led, followed by Ryan Blaney with 24 laps led, rookie Daniel Suarez with 3 laps led, Paul Menard with 9 laps led and Elliott Sadler. Rounding out the top-10 were Kevin Harvick, Kyle Larson with 3 laps led, Regan Smith, Ty Dillon with 8 laps led and Chase Elliott. David Starr and Blake Koch were 36th and 37th, respectively due to wrecking on lap 22.




Sunday was the Cup race at Indianapolis. Kyle Busch won with 19 laps led, followed by Joey Logano with 28 laps led, Kevin Harvick with 75 laps led, Martin Truex, Jr. and Denny Hamlin.  Rounding out were Clint Bowyer, Matt Kenseth,  Kurt Busch, Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski with 17 laps led. Pole-sitter Carl Edwards led 20 laps and was 13th. David Ragan led 5 laps and finished 24th. Trevor Bayne was 40th due to an accident on lap 155. No one else wrecked out.

New Hampshire Weekend

 Hey folks! Here's my take on the New Hampshire weekend. The Trucks were off this weekend.






Saturday was the Xfinity race. Pole-sitter Denny Hamlin won with 145 laps led, followed by Austin Dillon with 7 laps led, Brad Keselowski with 17 laps led, Kyle Busch with 25 laps led and rookie Daniel Suarez.  Rounding out the top-10 were Ty Dillon, Regan Smith,  rookie Darrell Wallace, Jr. with 1 lap led, Chase Elliott and Brennan Poole. Dylan Lupton led 3 laps and finished 24th. Brian Scott led 2 laps and was 29th after an engine problem. Rookie Ross Chastain crashed out on lap 37and was 36th.




Sunday was the Cup race. Kyle Busch won with 95 laps led, followed by Brad Keselowski with 101 laps led, Kevin Harvick with 59 laps led, Joey Logano with 12 laps led and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Rounding out the top-10 were Matt Kenseth,  pole-sitter Carl Edwards with 19 laps led, Austin Dillon, Jeff Gordon with 2 laps led and Kurt Busch. AJ Allmendinger was 13 after leading 13 laps. No one wrecked out.
