Fontana Weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Fontana weekend.
Saturday was the Xfinity race. Austin Dillon won with 1 lap led, followed by Kyle Busch with 133 laps led, Darrell Wallace, Jr.,  pole-sitter Daniel Suarez with 4 laps led and Elliott Sadler. Rounding out the top-10 were Kevin Harvick, Brendan Gaughan with 2 laps led, Kyle Larson with 5 laps led, rookie Brandon Jones, and Justin Allgaier. Aric Almirola was 11th with 3 laps led. Rookie Ryan Preece led 1 lap before finishing 25th. Dylan Lupton was 36th due to an accident on lap 56. Rookie Ray Black, Jr. was 37th after crashing out on lap 44.
Sunday was the Cup race. Jimmie Johnson won with 25 laps led, followed by Kevin Harvick with 142 laps led, Denny Hamlin with 2 laps led, Joey Logano with 3 laps led and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. Rounding out the top-10 were rookie Chase Elliott with 1 lap led, Carl Edwards with 9 laps led, AJ Allmendinger, Brad Keselowski and Jamie McMurray. Matt Kenseth was 19th with 2 laps led.  Pole-sitter Austin Dillon was 24th. Martin Truex, Jr. was 32nd after leading 21 laps. Rookie Ryan Blaney was 35th due to an accident on lap 195. Danica Patrick was 38th due to crashing out on lap 120. Kyle Larson was 39th due to wrecking out on lap 46.


The past 3 races (including this one) were the West Coast swing and were all of March's races. March is MS month, but I'm always aware of it because of Trevor Bayne racing with MS. He has no major symptoms, but I don't forget about it. This race was the last before Easter, when they don't race. Come back for a post about autism and Easter.
