Hey folks! Here's my take on the Richmond weekend. The Trucks were off this time, but the other series raced.

Friday night was the Xfinity race. Chase Elliott won with 83 laps led, followed by pole-sitter Kyle Busch with 78 laps led, Brian Scott with 63 laps led, Joey Logano and Erik Jones. Rounding out the top-10 were Regan Smith with 60 laps led, Josh Berry, Ty Dillon, Austin Dillon and Chris Buescher. Rookie Ross Chastain was 15th with 4 laps led. Ryan Truex was 31st in his return to the Xfinity series, due to an accident on lap 216. Jeremy Clements crashed out on lap 133 and was 34th. Ryan Ellis led 2 laps before a vibration relegated him to 35th. David Starr had an accident on lap 16 and was 37th. Benny Gordon wrecked out on lap 3 and was 38th. Jimmy Weller was 39th due to crashing out on lap 2.

Saturday night was when the Cup was scheduled, but rain delayed it to Sunday. Matt Kenseth won with 352 laps led, followed by Kyle Busch with 9 laps led, pole-sitter Joey Logano with 25 laps led, Aric Almirola and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Rounding out the top-10 were Denny Hamlin with 14 laps led, Jeff Gordon. Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson and Clint Bowyer. Michael McDowell was 42nd after crashing out on lap 287. Michael Annett had an accident on lap 145 and was 43rd. The Chase field was set and the drivers that made it in were Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. , Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Martin Truex, Jr., Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Jamie McMurray, Carl Edwards, Ryan Newman, Clint Bowyer, Paul Menard and Kyle Busch.

  2. I got behind in my blogging in late spring and never caught up. The blogging spree this weekend is my catch up. And on Thanksgiving, it was good.
