Atlanta Weekend

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Atlanta weekend.


Saturday was the Truck race. John Hunter Nemechek won with 8 laps led, followed by Cameron Hayley with 4 laps led, Timothy Peters, Daniel Hemric and rookie Gran Enfinger. Rounding out the top-10 were rookie Ben Rhodes, John Wes Townley, Parker Kligerman, Caleb Holman and Spencer Gallagher. Rookie Christopher Bell was 26th due to an accident on lap 122 after leading 42 laps. Pole-sitter Matt Crafton led 76 laps and was relegated to 30th due to an accident on lap 111. Daniel Suarez was 31st due to an accident on lap 111.
Saturday was also the day of the Xfinity race. Pole-sitter Kyle Busch won with 119 laps led, followed by Kyle Larson, rookie Erik Jones, Paul Menard and Ty Dillon. Rounding out the top-10 were Brad Keselowski with 28 laps led, Daniel Suarez, Justin Allgaier with 15 laps led, Elliott Sadler and Jeb Burton with 1 lap led. No one wrecked out
Sunday was the Cup race.  Jimmie Johnson won with 52 laps led, followed by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kyle Busch with 2 laps led,  polesitter Kurt Busch with 62 laps led and Carl Edwards with 1 lap led. Rounding out the top-10 were Kevin Harvick with 131 laps led, Martin Truex, Jr. with 34 laps led, rookie Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. Matt Kenseth led 47 laps and finished 19th. Cole Whitt was 37th after leading 1 lap. No one did not finish.
