Dover Weekend

Hey readers! Here's my take on Dover weekend.

Friday was the Truck race. Pole-sitter Kyle Busch won with 150 laps led, followed by Ryan Blaney with lap led, Johnny Sauter, Brandon Jones with 3 laps led and Joey Coulter. Rounding out the top-10 were  John Nemechek, rookies Ben Kennedy and Tyler Reddick, German Quiroga and Timothy Peters. Matt Crafton led 46 laps before an accident relegated him to 23rd.

Saturday was the Nationwide race. Kyle Busch won with 124 laps led followed by Trevor Bayne, pole-sitter Joey Logano with 58 laps led, Matt Kenseth and rookie Chase Elliot with 18 laps led. Rounding out the top-ten were Kyle Larson, Brian Scott, rookie Ty Dillon, Elliot Sadler and Regan Smith. Trevor Bayne got his best Nationwide finish of the season and 1st Nationwide second place. He's been 1st and 3rd, though. I wonder if  he's desperate, as someone said on another website.  He may be extra-desperate now with a Cup ride next year, as long as his health holds.

Sunday was the Cup race. Jimmie Johnson won with 272 laps led, followed by Brad Keslowski with 1 lap led, Matt Kenseth with 17 laps led, Clint Bowyer with 5 laps led and Denny Hamlin. Rounding out the top-ten were Martin Truex, Jr., Tony Stewart, Joey Logano, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Paul Menard. Kevin Harvick led 24 laps before he finished 17th. Kyle Busch led 81 laps, but an accident relegated him to a 42nd place finish.

Come back next week for my take on Pocono!
