Pocono and Texas weekend + a slice of my life

Hey folks! Here's my take on the Texas and Pocono races. Since they were on cable TV, which we don't have, I was dependent on the Internet for info.

Saturday was the Truck race at Texas. Matt Crafton won with 118 laps led, followed by Justin Lofton, Joe Nemechek, Ryan Blaney with 45 laps led and John Wes Townley.  Rounding out the top-10 were Ron Hornaday, Jr. with 4 laps led,  Johnny Sauter, Brain Silas, Joey Coulter and Darrell Wallace, Jr.

Sunday was the Cup race at Pocono. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. got his second win of the season with 11 laps led, followed by Brad Keselowski with 95 laps led, Kurt Busch with 5 laps led, Denny Hamlin with 4 laps led and rookie Kyle Larson with 7 laps led. Rounding out the top-10 were Jimmie Johnson with 5 laps led, Ryan Newman, Jeff Gordon with 2 laps led, Martin Truex, Jr. and Jamie McMurray.  Tony Stewart was 13th after 24 laps led. Brian Vickers and rookie Justin Allgaier, the 19th and 27th place finishers, respectively led 1 lap each.  Drivers with two wins are locked in the Chase, basically and will be able to be championship contenders.

My life had some noteworthy stuff over the weekend. I helped with our church's girls club camping trip and on Friday, my mom had some pre-op tests for her surgery, which is a week from then. Stay tuned to see my take on Michigan!

    1. The camping was fun, except I was confused the first day. I'd never been a grown girl there. I was always one of the kids when I went before. I appreciate you wishing my mom good luck.
