Bristol Weekend


Hey folks! Here's my take on the Bristol weekend. All series raced.

Wednesday night was the Truck race. Ben Kennedy won with 20 laps led, followed by Brett Moffitt, Daniel Hemric, rookie William Byron with 1 lap led and Johnny Sauter. Rounding out the top 10 were rookie Cole Custer, rookie Christopher Bell with 101 laps led, John H. Nemechek, Brandon Jones and John Wes Townley. Pole-sitter Tyler Reddick finished 14th after leading 1 lap.  Daniel Suarez led 3 laps before an accident on lap 186 relegated him to 29th.

Friday night was the Xfinity race. Austin Dillon won with 4 laps led, followed by Justin Allgaier, Kyle Larson with 200 laps led, Elliott Sadler and Brendan Gaughan.  Rounding out the top-10 were Jeremy Clements, Darrell Wallace, Jr. with 4 laps led, Blake Koch, rookie Brandon Jones and Corey Lajoie.  Brad Keselowski finished 12th after leading 67 laps.  Kyle Busch led 1 lap before an accident on lap 296 relegated him to 24th.  Ty Dillon was 25th before an accident on lap 296 relegated him to 25th.  Ross Chastain was 32nd after an accident on lap 278. Pole-sitter Erik Jones led 31 laps before an accident relegated him to 33rd.

Saturday night was the Cup race. Kevin Harvick won with 128 laps led, followed by Ricky Stenhouse, Jr, Denny Hamlin with 19 laps led, Austin Dillon and rookie Chris Buescher.  Rounding out the top-10 were pole-sitter Carl Edwards with 31 laps led, Jimmie Johnson, Jamie McMurray, A. J. Allmendinger and Joey Logano with 38 laps led.  Hometown boy Trevor Bayne was 12th.  Rookie Chase Elliott was 15th after 14 laps led.  Rookie Brian Scott was 18th after leading 5 laps.  Ryan Newman led 9 laps and was 28th.   Matt Kenseth was 37th due to an accident on lap 373.  Kurt Busch was 38th due to an accident after 372 laps.  Kyle Busch led 256 laps before an accident on lap 357 relegated him to 39th.  Justin Allgaier was 40th due an accident after 354 laps.
