Eldora & Indianapolis Weekend


Hey folks! Here's my take on Eldora and the Indianapolis weekend.

Wednesday was the Truck race at Eldora. Kyle Larson won with 48 laps led, followed by rookie Christopher Bell, rookie Rico Abreu, Jake Griffin and Tyler Reddick. Rounding out the top-10 were rookie Cole Custer, Cameron Hayley, Daniel Hemric, rookie Austin Wayne Self and Matt Crafton. Pole-sitter Bobby Pierce led 102 laps before an accident relegated him to 25th.  Stewart Friesen was 28th due to an accident on lap 111.  Caleb Holman had an accident on lap 37 and was 30th.

Saturday was the Xfinity race. Kyle Busch won from the pole with 62 laps led, followed by Kevin Harvick, Paul Menard, Kyle Larson and Justin Allagir. Rounding out the top-10 were Elliott Sadler, Daniel Suarez, Joey Logano, Ty Dillon and Brandon Jones.  Brendan Gaughan was 16th with 1 lap led.  Rookie Ray Black, Jr. was 33rd due to an accident on lap 52.  Harrison Rhodes had an accident after 51 laps and was 34th.

Sunday was the Cup race.  Kyle Busch won from the pole with 149 laps led, followed by Matt Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson. Rounding out the top-10 were Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano with 6 laps led, Martin Truex, Jr, Austin Dillon and Paul Menard.  Brad Keselowski was 17th after 15 laps led. Ryan Newman was 31st due to an accident after 166 laps.  Carl Edwards crashed out on lap 154 and was 35th.  Rookie Ryan Blaney was 36th due to an accident after 152 laps.  David Ragan had an accident on lap 117 and was 37th.  Greg Biffle was 39th after an accident on lap 53.
