Texas Weekend


Hey folks! Here's my take on the Texas weekend. All series raced this time

Friday was the Truck race. Johnny Sauter won with 6 laps led, followed by Matt Crafton with 15 laps led, Daniel Hemric with 38th, Tyler Reddick and Daniel Suarez.  Rounding out the top-10 were rookie William Byron, pole-sitter Spencer Gallagher with 88 laps led, Austin Dillon, rookie Cole Custer and Cameron Hayley.  Tommy Joe Martins was 31st due to an accident on lap 61. No one else crashed out.

Saturday was the Xfinity race.  Kyle Larson won with 30 laps led, followed by Brad Keselowski, the pole-sitter with 145 laps led, Kevin Harvick, rookie Erik Jones with 23 laps led and Daniel Suarez.  Rounding out the top-10 were Elliott Sadler, Austin Dillon, rookie Brennan Poole with 2 laps led, Matt Tifft and Justin Allgaier.  Matt DiBenedetto was 36th due to an accident on lap 129.  No one else crashed out.


Sunday was the Cup race. Carl Edwards won with 36 laps led, followed by Joey Logano with 178 laps led, Martin Truex, Jr. with 66 laps led, rookie Chase Elliott with 3 laps led and Kyle Busch with 2 laps led.  Rounding out the top-10 were Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin with 1 lap led and Ryan Newman.  David Ragan finished 33rd after leading 1 lap.  Austin Dillon, the pole-sitter, led 6 laps before an accident relegated him to 37th.  Casey Mears crashed out on lap 260 and was 39th.
