Loudon Weekend


Hey folks! Here's my take on the Loudon weekend. The Trucks were off this time.

Saturday was the Xfinity race.  Pole-sitter Kyle Busch won with 190 laps led, followed by rookie Erik Jones with 3 laps led, Brad Keselowski, Daniel Suarez and Austin Dillon.  Rounding out the top-10 were rookie Brennan Poole, Justin Allgaier, Alex Bowman with 7 laps led, Brendan Gaughan and Elliott Sadler.  Ross Chastain was 31st due to an accident on lap 170.  Corey Lajoie was 37th after crashing out on lap 64.

Sunday was the Cup race. Matt Kenseth won with 38 laps led, followed by Tony Stewart, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick and Greg Biffle.  Jamie McMurray, Ryan Newman, Kyle Busch with 133 laps led, Denny Hamlin with 5 laps led and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.  Jimmie Johnson, the pole-sitter led 1 lap and finished  12th. Brad Keselowski led 1 lap and was 15th.  Martin Truex, Jr. led 123 laps before finishing 16th.  Josh Wise was 40 due to an accident on lap 94. No one else crashed out.
